“What I Am About”
The life of a newlywed agrees with me as I am writing more than ever. My husband, Daniel, and I reside in Greenville, South Carolina, where I recently discovered Nicholas Sparks lived while writing his first success: The Notebook. I can only hope that this place will do for me what it did for him.
Mostly, I prefer to write poetry (thank you, Mary Brown) and non-fiction. Poetry comes easily to me, so I try to write my non-fiction to give myself practice. I heard that it takes at least 100,000 words before your style is established and comfortable. While I wait for the words to pile up, I’m entering contests and writing for a local IN magazine called “glo.”
Good luck to all of my fellow writers!
